Mid-Winter Break...

Mid-Winter Break...

This week was Mighty Oak’s mid winter break. One of our breaks throughout the school year that gives both students and educators time to rest and come back refreshed and ready to create the best possible educational time during instruction. It was a cold, snowy break but a lot was still accomplished.

Monday and Tuesday were our parent-teacher conferences where our educators got to sit down with our families and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of students as well as strategies to help them improve. It is a great time for educators and parents to get on the same page about strategies that can be implemented at home to help their children be better prepared for their classroom time. In between meetings our teachers got time to catch up on lesson planning and room redesigns.

The rest of the week provided a few days off for our educators to come back excited and refreshed. Meanwhile our support staff helped make sure the building was clean and helped prep for the Fish Fry Today. It gave us time to do some extra deep cleaning at Porkland and set ourselves up for a beautiful day today. We look forward to seeing you stop in for a fish sandwich or churched up tots today and are excited to get back into the school year next week!
