Hey friends and neighbors,

After operating Porkland BBQ for four years, it has recently come to our attention that the property where Porkland is located is not zoned to be a restaurant. Unfortunately, this will be our last week operating as a restaurant at 2519 St Cecilia St.

However, we are happy to announce that under our current zoning we can continue to love on our neighbors by hosting a fundraiser on Fridays that will include BBQ and fish. Starting Friday May 27, we will be open from 11am – 7pm continuing what we have built upon the last 6 years which started at the Mackin.

Sure, we are saddened by this, but Love City was built for the community, by the community and will still be for this community for eternity. Over the last 6 years we have grown amazing relationships with our neighbors, both near and far, through hosting community events, opening a restaurant, having afterschool programs, a preschool and now Mighty Oak Academy. The future is bright, let’s stay focused, so much more Love to come.

We are in high hopes that we will continue to see you on Fridays, showing the same love you have given us over the last several years. None of this would be possible without you, and what you have built.

As far as for Porkland BBQ it will now switch to a catering only business and we would love to support any event or upcoming catering need you may have.

We truly love our community both neighbors near and far and hope you will be patient with us as we determine the best option for the St Cecilia campus at Love City to go forward. We’re grateful for all that you’ve done to improve this community/city in the last 7 years. We love you. May God’s Love continue to drench us all and his blessings pour upon us.
